The Gopalakṛṣṇa aspect was added later after at about 3000 BC, when the Abhira-s were migrated to India. Thus, the Bhāgavata religion propounded by Vasudeva, that incorporated the earlier cult of Nārāyaṇa was the source of inter Vaiṣṇavism.
