assembly halls, tanks and parks. The gardens also enhanced the beauty
of the palace of kings (in beauty they were compared to the abode of

Vasahi. It shows a king sitting under a chatra on a siṃhāsana, and is
attended by guards and wardens. Besides stables of horses and sheds of

stepped-pyramidal roofs of the two storeyed building (to the left of the
gateway) with a figure looking out of the window in each story and open
pavilion on the ground floor. One separate roof of the pavilion and one of
the second storey of the building may be noted. To the right of the building
is a gate consisting of two massive towers (attṭālaka) and capped by
barrel-vaulted roofs. Two garlands decorate the gateway. One wing of the
gateway is pushed open.
