Commentary
[In order to render service to, that is, to measure, through resemblance, an action like the studying of a 办峁迟迟谤颈测补, a standard of comparison like the action of studying of a 产谤腻丑尘补峁嘺 is used, based on some action as a common property. It is like using a word like 产谤腻丑尘补峁嘺, expressive of substance, as the standard of comparison for determining or measuring a 办峁迟迟谤颈测补. Thus both action-words and words expressive of substance can stand for the standard of comparison and take the suffix vati.]
