[When the sentence is 鈥渉is are the motley-coloured cows鈥� (补蝉测补颈迟腻岣� 肠颈迟谤腻 驳腻惫补岣�) 鈥榟is鈥� comes as a qualifier (惫颈艣别峁峁嘺) of the cows, as something subordinate. Such a sentence does not express the full meaning of the compound.]
