The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 2.4.148; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

अथ (२५) हर्ष� �
अभीष्टेक्षण-लाभादि-जाता चेतः-प्रसन्नत� �
हर्ष� स्याद् इह रोमाञ्चः स्वेदो’श्र� मु�-फुल्लत� �
आवेगोन्माद-जडतास् तथ� मोहादयो’प� � ॥२.�.१४८॥

atha (25) 󲹰ṣa�
abhīṣṭekṣaṇa-lābhādi-jātā ceta�-prasannatā |
󲹰ṣa� syād iha romāñca� svedo’śru mukha-phullatā |
āvegonmāda-Ჹḍas tathā mohādayo’pi ca
||2.4.148||

English translation

“Happiness of the heart arising from seeing or attaining one’s desired object is called 󲹰ṣa. In this state standing of the hair on end, perspiration, tears, glowing face, confusion (屹𲵲), insanity (ܲԳ岹), indecision (Ჹḍa) and fainting (moha) occur.�
