विधि-हीनम� असृष्टान्न� मन्त्र-हीनम� अदक्षिणम� �
श्रद्ध�-विरहित� यज्ञ� तामस� परिचक्षत� � १३ �-īԲ asṛṣṭānna� Գٰ-īԲ 岹ṣiṇa |
śraddhā-virahita� yajña� tāmasa� 貹ṣaٱ || 13 ||-īԲ–disregarding the precepts of scripture; ṛṣṭa–where there is no distribution; annam–o 岹 (food sanctified by being offered to God and accepted as His blessing); Գٰ-īԲ–without the utter-ance of mantras, sacred names of God, to purify the mind; 岹ṣiṇa–wherein no gifts are given to the priests; ś-ٲ–without faith; ⲹñ–that sacrifice; 峾–in the quality of darkness; 貹ṣaٱ–is said (to be).
That sacrifice in which the injunctions of scripture are disregarded, no sanctified foodstuffs are distributed, no Vedic mantras are chanted and no gifts are given to the priests, and which is performed without faith, is described by the learned to be influenced by the quality of ignorance.
Commentary: Sārārtha-Varṣiṇ� Ṭīkā

ṛṣṭānԲ means ‘without distribution of foodstuffs�.
