व्याख्यातम� इद� सम्पूर्ण� काव्�-लक्षणम�.
vyākhyātam ida� sampūrṇa� kāvya-lakṣaṇam.
The characteristics of poetry have been explained in full.
mammaṭādy-uktim āśritya mitā� sāhitya-kaumudīm |
vṛtti� bharata-sūtrāṇāṃ śrī-vidyābhūṣaṇo vyadhāt ||
Taking support of the statements of Mammaṭa and of others, Śrī Vidyābhūṣaṇa composed a moderately short elaboration, called ٲⲹ-첹ܻܳī, on Bharata’s ūٰ.
Commentary:
Poetry has two varieties: dramaturgy (ṛśy-屹ⲹ) and poetry in book form (śⲹ-屹ⲹ). Dramaturgy is expounded in ٲś-ū貹첹, ٲⲹ-岹貹ṇa, ṭa첹-Ի, and so on.
