Medh膩tithi鈥檚 commentary (manubh膩峁a):
Both kinds of children just described,鈥�i.e., the 颁补峁囜笉腻濒补 and the 笔腻谤腻艣补谤补鈥斺赌�are unfit for the sacraments鈥�;鈥攊.e., should not be 鈥榠nitiated.鈥�
The text proceeds to add a declamatory statement by way of an argument for what has been just asserted鈥�鈥�The former on account of the defect in his birth鈥�;鈥攊n the wise of the child born to a. Br膩hma峁嘺 from the 艢奴dra woman, even though predominance may attach to the 鈥榮eed,鈥� his birth is really defective, by reason of the lowness of his origin. 鈥�The latter,鈥欌�攖he 颁补峁囜笉腻濒补, is born 鈥榠n the inverse order,鈥� and is the. worst of the 鈥榠nversely horn sons,鈥� on account of the lowness of his father, even though the 鈥榮oil鈥� be regarded as the more important factor.鈥�(68)
