膩yavyayau ca niyat膩v膩kar膩n ko艣ameva ca || 419 ||Day after day he shall look after his business-centres, his conveyances, his income and expenditure regularly, and mines and treasury.鈥�(419)
Medh膩tithi鈥檚 commentary (manubh膩峁a):
This verse shows the purpose of indicating all the duties of the king.
鈥�Business-centres鈥欌�攁gricultural stations, customs-house and so forth.
鈥�Conveyances鈥欌�攅lephants and the rest.
鈥�Income and expenditure鈥欌�攕o much has come in, and so much has been spent. This should be looked into 鈥�regularly,鈥� constantly.
鈥�Mines鈥欌�攑laces whence gold and other minerals are brought out.
鈥�Treasure鈥欌�攖he place where money is deposited.鈥�(419)
