鈥�Essentials of a sacrifice鈥欌赌斺�楽acrifice鈥� consists in the act of offering to the gods and of feeding Br膩hma峁嘺s in honour of the gods; the term 鈥�havya,鈥� 鈥榮acrifice,鈥� standing for what is done in honour of the gods.鈥�(256)
