Medh膩tithi鈥檚 commentary (尘补苍耻产丑腻峁补):
The rite in honour of the Pit峁泂 should not be looked upon as inferior to that in honour of the gods; in fact, the former is the more important of the two; because by birth, the Pit峁泂 are elder than the gods. For, the order of creation is that the Pit峁泂 were born from the sages, and the gods were born from the Pit峁泂, and from the gods, the whole of the rest of the world鈥斺��moveable鈥欌�攁nimate鈥攁s well as 鈥�immoveable鈥欌赌攊苍补苍颈尘补迟别.
