gurur膩havan墨yastu s膩'gnitret膩 gar墨yas墨 || 231 ||The Father has been declared to be the G膩rhapatya Fire, the Mother the Dak峁峁嘺 Fire, and the Preceptor the 膧havan墨ya fire; and this Triad of fires is highly important.鈥�(231)
Medh膩tithi鈥檚 commentary (尘补苍耻产丑腻峁补):
The father, etc., have been called 鈥榞膩rhapatya鈥� and the rest by reason of some sort of resemblance.
鈥�This Triad of Fires鈥欌赌�i.e., the three sacrificial Fires鈥斺��is highly important,鈥欌赌�i.e., conducive to great results.
The word 鈥�treta鈥� (Triad) is etymologically analysed as 鈥�tr膩峁嘺m it膩鈥� which means 鈥榞ot up for the purposes of protection.鈥欌赌�(231)
