Medh膩tithi鈥檚 commentary (尘补苍耻产丑腻峁补):
In fact no one should bo treated with disrespect; specially these. That is to say, the disrespect of these entails a heavier expiation.
鈥�Distressed鈥欌�攊njured by them.
鈥楾reating with disrespect鈥� consists in disregard; the omitting of honour due; as also insulting, which is called 鈥榳ant of respect.鈥�
The term 鈥�叠谤腻丑尘补峁嘺鈥� has been added only for filling up the metre.鈥�(225)

There is a confusion in the position of the two verses 225 and 226. Burnell places 226鈥斺��膧c膩ryo brahma峁噊 m奴rti岣� &c.鈥欌�攂efore 225鈥斺��膧c膩rya艣ca pit膩 chaiva &c.鈥�
This verse is quoted in 厂尘峁泃颈肠补苍诲谤颈办腻 (Sa峁僺k膩ra, p. 94).
