श्री-समुद्र-कन्य� ऊचुः
नित्यं गृ�-शत� यान्ति
दात्री दुःख� सुखं जनान�
स्वीया कथ� सुशीला �
चञ्चलास्मिन् कथ� स्थिता
śī-samudra-첹Բ ūcu�
nitya� ṛh-śata� yānti
ٰī duḥkha� sukha� janān
svīyā katha� śī ca
ñsmin katha� ٳ
śī-samudra-첹Բ ūḥ�the daughters of the ocean said; Ծٲⲹ�always; ṛh-śٲ�a hundred homes; Գپ�goes; ٰī�the giver; ḥk�sufferinbgs; ܰ�happiness; Ჹ�to the people; īⲹ�own; 첹ٳ�how?; śī�good; �and; ñ�restless; �in this; 첹ٳ�how?; ٳ�situated.
English translation of verse 5.18.4:
The DZī that had been daughters of the ocean said: Why does ṛṣṇa's saintly beloved, the goddess of fortune, bring happiness or suffering to hundreds of homes every day? Why, even though she is rstless and fickle, does she always stay by His side?
