स्नातः पुर्�-मुखो मौनी क्र्�-सन्ध्य� कुचासन� कुचैर् बद्ध-चिखो विप्रः
ٲ� purva-mukho ܲī krta-Իⲹ� kucāsane kucair baddha-cikho �
पथेद� वै स्वस्तिकासनः
pathed vai پԲ�
ٲ��bathed; purva-ܰ��facing east; ܲī�silent; krta-Իⲹ��having offered sandhya prayers; ܳԱ�on a kuca seat; ܳḥ�with kuca; baddha�bound; ḥ�hair; ��a brāhmana; 貹ٳ�should recite; �indeed; پԲ��sitting in svasita-asana.
English translation of verse 4.16.4:
A brāhmana should bathe, face the east, refrain from conversation, offer the Ի prayers, sit in the پ첹-Բ posture on a kuca mat, tie his hair with kuca grass, and recite the following words.
