The Garga-samhita Verse 1.7.9, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 7 (Description of the Conquest of All Directions) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

�-जानु-भूमि-गं लत्तां
पातालान्तम� उपागतम�
कृत्वा तम� आह बाणस� तु
पूर्वं चैनं समुद्ध�

-Գ-ū-ga� ٳ�
pātālāntam upāgatam
kṛtvā tam āha ṇa tu
pūrva� caina� samuddhara

-Գto his knees; ū—to the ground; gaṃ—gone; ٳ�—k;

English translation of verse 1.7.9:

Գٲ—t Patala; upāgatam—gone; kṛtvā—having done; tam—to him; āha�

spoke; ṇaṇa; tu—indeed; pūrvaṃ—before; ca—and; enaṃ—this;

samuddhara—lڳ.

That kick pushed his leg through the ground up to his knee as his foot reached ǰ첹. Then ṇāsܰ said, Please pull me up as I was before."
