艣r墨man-madana-gop膩la-cara峁嚹乥jam up膩sata || 153 ||According to the advice of 艢r墨 狈腻谤补诲补, the sages began to worship the lotus feet of 艢r墨 惭补诲补苍补-骋辞辫腻濒补 with divine, complete humility.

Is the abandonment of one鈥檚 object the sign of seeking the essence? Anticipating this question, he speaks the lines beginning with kevala. No, they completely abandon karma, 箩帽腻苍补 and other forms of 蝉腻诲丑补苍补 to begin only the worship of the lotus feet of 艢r墨man Madana-骋辞辫腻濒补-deva with complete, divine humility. What was the nature of that humility? Considering themselves unsuccessful, they thought, 鈥淲e have not accomplished our object; we do not possess even the slightest devotional sentiment for the lotus feet of 叠丑补驳补惫腻苍.鈥� This kind of feeling of anxiety is humility (dainya). The mercy of 叠丑补驳补惫腻苍 is attainable only through this type of humility. Therefore, they all engaged in the bhajana of 叠丑补驳补惫腻苍, which is rooted in humility.
