Purana and Itihasa (epic history)
: archive.org: Puranic Encyclopedia1) ղ (वनाय�).—A son born to Prajāpati Kaśyapa of his wife Danu. It is mentioned in Ѳٲ, Ādi Parva Chapter 65, Stanza 25, that he was the most prominent of the ten sons of Danu.
2) ղ (वनाय�).—A son born to Urvaśī from Purūravas. The sons of Urvaśī were Āyus, Dhīmān, Amāvasu, Drḍḥāyu Śatāyu and ղ. (Ѳٲ Ādi Parva, Chapter 75, Stanza 25).
3) ղ (वनाय�).—A country in ancient India. Mention is made about this country in Ѳٲ, Bhīṣma Parva, Chapter 9, Verse 56.
: JatLand: List of Mahabharata people and placesղ (वनाय�) is a name mentioned in the Ѳٲ (cf. I.70.22) and represents one of the many proper names used for people and places. Note: The Ѳٲ (mentioning ղ) is a Sanskrit epic poem consisting of 100,000 śǰ첹 (metrical verses) and is over 2000 years old.
