: Sutta: The Pali Text Society's Pali-English DictionaryUpaplavati, (upa + plavati, cp. uppilavati) to swim or float to (Acc.), in uncertain reading as aor. ܱ貹� at Sn. 1145 (dīpā dīpa� ܱ貹� floatcd from land to land; vv. ll. at SnA 606 ܱ貹� & upallavi�; all MSS. of Nd2 p. 54 & no. 160 write upallavi�). Perhaps we should better read ܱ貹� (or upallavi�) as diaeretic form for *upplavi�, aor. of uppilavati (or uplavati), q. v. Expld. at Nd2 160 by samupallavi�. (Page 145)
