岹ٳ (उदरार्�) refers to the “satisfying one’s stomach�, according to sources such as the Amanaskayoga 1.6, the Dattātreyayogaśāstra 47, the Brahmānanda's Jyotsnā 1.11 and the Yogataraṅgiṇ� (epilogue).—Accordingly, “According to tradition, [mere] robe-wearers who do not perform religious duties deceive people by speaking of yoga for the sake of [satisfying their] genitals and stomach (ܻ岹ٳ) [śiśnodarārtha� yogasya�.
