ճṅgԲ (तुङ्गन�) or ճṅgԲtā refers to “prominent nails� and represents the third of the “eighty secondary characteristics� (ԳܱⲹñᲹԲ) as defined in the Dharma-saṃgraha (section 83). The Dharma-samgraha (Dharmasangraha) is an extensive glossary of Buddhist technical terms in Sanskrit (e.g., ٳṅg-Բ). The work is attributed to Nagarguna who lived around the 2nd century A.D.

ճṅgԲ (तुङ्गन�) refers to “prominent finger-nails� and represents the third of the eighty minor marks of distinction (ԳܱⲹñᲹԲ) mentioned in the Sukhāvatī and following the order of the Mahāvyutpatti (269-348). In Tibetan, the characteristic called ճṅgԲ is known as �sen mo mtho ba�. The Sukhāvatī represents a prayer for rebirth which was composed by Karma chags med, a Karma bka� brgyud master, who lived in the seventeenth century.
