ṃh峾Գٰ (सिंहमहामन्त्) is the name of a Mantra, according to the eleventh chapter of the Īśvarasaṃhitā (baroda edition) also known as the Nṛsiṃhakalpa, a Pāñcarātra work consisting of 640 verses and 14 chapters written in the form of a dialogue between Īśvara and Pārvatī.—Description of the eleventh chapter:—Here, Բ-meditations on the ferocious aspects of Narasiṃha are outlined. He is described as eight-armed, red-haired, red-eyed having holy marks and with Lakṣmī at his side. With this in mind, one should then repeat the ṃh峾Գٰ. If done correctly and devotedly one can expect to enjoy a number of rewards (1-7). Homas, too, may accompany these exercises to even greater effects (8-13). This discipline with the ṃh峾Գٰ was given by Viṣṇu to Brahmā and by the latter to Agastya. Brahmā also gave it to Sanaka and other sages (14-16).
