: OSU Press: Cakrasamvara Samadhi艢颈谤辞尘腻濒腻 (啶多た啶班啶ぞ啶侧ぞ) refers to a 鈥済arland of heads鈥�, according to the Sa峁僾arama峁囜笉ala of Abhay膩karagupta鈥檚 Ni峁annayog膩val墨, p. 45 and n. 145; (Cf. Cakrasa峁僾aratantra, Gray, David B., 2007).鈥擜ccordingly, [while describing the iconography of Cakrasa峁僾ara]: 鈥淚n the Sa峁僾ara Ma峁囜笉ala atop Mount Sumera within a vajra-canopy there is a variegated lotus, on top of that a palace, in the middle of which is the Blessed Lord, standing in 腻濒墨岣峢腻蝉补苍补, "archer's pose", [...] possessing a 苍补谤补-艣颈谤辞尘腻濒腻-艣补迟腻谤诲丑补, "garland of fifty (fresh) human heads" around the neck, the 峁峁�-尘耻诲谤腻, "six insignia", bone ornaments, which are the 办补峁囜弓丑颈办腻, "necklace", rucaka, "bracelets", 办耻峁囜笉补濒补, "ear-rings", 尘别办丑补濒腻, "girdle", 艣颈谤辞尘补峁噄, "crest jewel", and 产丑补蝉尘颈迟颈岣�, "covered in ashes", a 箩补峁�-尘补办耻峁璦, "crest of dreadlocks", 办补辫腻濒补尘腻濒腻, "crown of (five) skulls", topped by an ardhacandra, "crescent moon", and 惫颈艣惫补惫补箩谤补, "world vajra" or "double vajra", a 惫颈办峁沬迟腻苍补苍补, "fierce face", and 诲补峁冡梗峁璻辞迟办补峁璦, "horrible gigantic fangs".
Note: The garland of fifty fresh human heads (苍补谤补-艣颈谤辞尘腻濒腻-艣补迟腻谤诲丑补) symbolize the fifty sounds of the Sanskrit alphabet.
