In Ѳ屹ٳ ii.371.10 (verse) Senart reads sukhito pramudita pratikrośa pratila- bhati purimanirodhadṛṣṭa, and interprets prati° as [Page362-a+ 71] referring to the contempt and ill-treatment which pious men will accept with joy in the time of decadence of religion; but this does not seem a natural interpretation, and the mss. read, one, prīti krośa, the other prati- kośa; combining parts of each we would get prīti- kośa, a treasure-store of joy, which makes good sense and which I would read. The meter is very puzzling to me in this whole passage, so that I cannot rely on it.

[Sanskrit to German]
Sanskrit, also spelled संस्कृतम (ṃsṛt), is an ancient language of India commonly seen as the grandmother of the Indo-European language family (even English!). Closely allied with Prakrit and Pali, Sanskrit is more exhaustive in both grammar and terms and has the most extensive collection of literature in the world, greatly surpassing its sister-languages Greek and Latin.
