Source: Wisdom Library: Nāṭya-śāstraPhalayoga (फलयो�, “attainment of the object�) refers to one of the “five stages of the action� (ٳ) in a dramatic playwright (ṭa첹), according to the Nāṭyaśāstra chapter 21. It is also known by the name Phalaprāpti. These actions represents a Hero’s striving towards the object. The fruits of these actions (phalayoga) relates to dharma (duty), 峾 (enjoyment of pleasure) and artha (wealth).
The corresponding “means of attaining objects of the plot� (ٳṛt), is Dénouement, or Action (ⲹ).

Natyashastra (नाट्यशास्त्र, ṭyśٰ) refers to both the ancient Indian tradition (shastra) of performing arts, (natya—theatrics, drama, dance, music), as well as the name of a Sanskrit work dealing with these subjects. It also teaches the rules for composing Dramatic plays (nataka), construction and performance of Theater, and Poetic works (kavya).
