: The University of Sydney: A study of the Twelve Reflections笔补惫补苍补惫测腻箩补 (啶さ啶ㄠさ啷嵿く啶距) refers to the 鈥渄eceit of the breath鈥�, according to the 11th century J帽膩n膩r峁嘺va, a treatise on Jain Yoga in roughly 2200 Sanskrit verses composed by 艢ubhacandra.鈥擜ccordingly, 鈥淏eing frightened by the deceit of the breath (辫补惫补苍补惫测腻箩补鈥�pavanavy膩jena bh墨t膩 sat墨), the living embryo of men that is taken hold of by the fanged enemy that is destruction goes out like a young doe in the forest. O shameless one, if you are not able to protect this wretched [embryo] which is obtained gradually [by death] then you are not ashamed to delight in pleasures in this life鈥�.
