Nesargi is an archaeologically important site situated in Sampgaon-taluk (Belgaum district, Bombay), known for inscriptions regarding the ancient history of India. For example, at Nesargi there is a slab built as support in the temple called Jo�-guḍi outside the village which records gifts to the temple of Habbeśvara. Māṇikeśvara and Siddheśvara, erected by Bācheya-nāyaka and his wife Māyidevī at Nesarige.

This inscription belongs to king Kārtavīrya IV of the Raṭṭa dynasty. It is dated Śaka 1141 (1219 A. D., January 24).
