Source: Wisdom Library: Jainism惭耻办迟腻惫补濒颈惫补谤腻惫补产丑腻蝉补 (啶啶曕啶むぞ啶掂げ啶苦さ啶班ぞ啶掂き啶距じ) is the shorter name of 惭耻办迟腻惫补濒颈惫补谤腻惫补产丑腻蝉补诲惫墨辫补, one of the continents (诲惫墨辫补) of the middle-world (madhyaloka) which is encircled by the ocean named 惭耻办迟腻惫补濒颈惫补谤腻惫补产丑腻蝉补samudra (or simply 惭耻办迟腻惫补濒颈惫补谤腻惫补产丑腻蝉补), according to Jain cosmology. The middle-world contains innumerable concentric 诲惫墨辫补s and, as opposed to the upper-world (adhaloka) and the lower-world (奴谤诲丑惫补濒辞办补), is the only world where humans can be born.
惭耻办迟腻惫补濒颈惫补谤腻惫补产丑腻蝉补 is recorded in ancient Jaina canonical texts dealing with cosmology and geography of the universe. Examples of such texts are the Sa峁僩raha峁嚹玶atna in the 艢vet膩mbara tradition or the Tiloyapannatti and the Trilokas膩ra in the Digambara tradition.
