: archive.org: Personal and geographical names in the Gupta inscriptions³¢Äåá¹a is the same as the Larike of Ptolemy which lay to the east of Indo-Scythia along the sea-coast. ³¢Äåá¹a or ³¢Äåá¹a±¹¾±á¹£a²â²¹ is a place-name classified as a ±¹¾±á¹£a²â²¹ and mentioned in the Gupta inscriptions. The country south of MahÄ« or at times south of the NarbadÄ up to the PÅ«rva or so far as Daman, was called ³¢Äåá¹a and ‘it corresponded roughly with Southern Gujaratâ€�.
