ṣuṭ� (क्षुद्रचिर्भटा) is another name for ҴDZ첹첹ṭ�, a medicinal plant possibly identified as a variety of Airvāru or Karkaṭ�, which is identified with Cucumis utilisimus (snake cucumber) from the Cucurbitaceae or “gourd� family of flowering plants, according to verse 3.110-112 of the 13th-century Raj Nighantu or Rājanighaṇṭu. The third chapter (ḍūc徱-) of this book contains climbers and creepers (īܻ). Together with the names ṣuṭ� and ҴDZ첹첹ṭ�, there are a total of seven Sanskrit synonyms identified for this plant.
