: archive.org: Hindu MathematicsKhacheda (啶栢啷囙う) is another name for Khahara or 鈥渘umber divided by zero鈥� (i.e., 鈥渢hat number with zero as denominator鈥�), in ancient Indian mathematics (驳补峁噄迟补-艣腻蝉迟谤补).鈥擳he quotient of division by zero of a finite quantity has been called by Bh膩skara II as khahara, which is synonymous with khacheda (the quantity with zero as denominator) of Brahmagupta.
Ganita (啶椸ぃ啶苦い) or Ganitashastra refers to the ancient Indian science of mathematics, algebra, number theory, arithmetic, etc. Closely allied with astronomy, both were commonly taught and studied in universities, even since the 1st millennium BCE. Ganita-shastra also includes ritualistic math-books such as the Shulba-sutras.
