Source: Wisdom Library: Rasa-śāstraҳṣa (घर्ष, “friction�):—One of the five ordinary defects (ṇa-ṣa) of the precious stones (ratna) according to the Rasaprakāśasudhākara (Sanskrit work on the subject of śٰ, or medicinal alchemy). ҳṣa-doṣa is also know as Ұ-ṣa according to different sources, referring to ‘black colored parts�.
