: Shodhganga: a concise history of Sanskrit Chanda literature (history)Devarasa (啶︵啶掂ぐ啶�) is the father of (1794-1868 C.E.): a poet of both Kannada and Sanskrit literature flourished in the court of the famous K峁涐梗峁嘺r膩ja Wo岣峞yar of Mysore. 狈补帽箩耻峁囜笉补鈥檚 father was Devarasa and mother Na峁卝膩mbik膩. He was named as 狈补帽箩耻峁囜笉补 according to his mother鈥檚 name. He also says that he belongs to the famous V墨ra艣aiva sect, which is very famous. He introduces himself as a S膩rasvata devotee, when he describes the valor of king K峁涐梗峁嘺r膩ja in this text. He praises his family preceptor (kulaguru) Re峁噓k膩c膩rya as an exponent of 艢aivism.
