: What is India: Annual Report on Indian Epigraphy (1945-1952)Bogolu is an archaeologically important site situated in Cumbum-taluk (Kurnool district, Madras), known for inscriptions regarding the ancient history of India. For example, at Bogolu there is a slab set up in a field to the west of the village which states that Bhogavolu Reá¸á¸i, son of YellÄ Reá¸á¸i and grandson of Cheá¹…gi Reá¸á¸i of the MÄntakola gotra, constructed a tank, well, garden and the Åšiva temple. It is dated Åšaka 1534.
