Beta I (A.D. 1000-1052) is the name of a member of the K膩kat墨ya royal dynasty.鈥擜t the time of Garu岣嵞佱箙ka Beta鈥檚 accession, the fortunes of the K膩kat墨yas were at a low eb, as they had lost the Koravi region. Beta, was too young to retrive the fortunes of the family. The G奴岣嵟玶 epigraph noted above states that he was helped by K膩mavas膩ni, the wife of Viriy膩la Erra. She took up the cause of young Beta and approached Western C膩lukyan Emperor Vikram膩ditya VI with whose help Beta could be reinstated.

Beta II (A.D. 1076-1106).鈥擳he earliest record of Beta II from Anunako峁囜笉a is dated A.D. 1079 which mentions his title 艢r墨man Vikrama cakri Beta m膩峁囜笉alikottama. It is also probable that he had started his career sometime before the date of the above epigraph almost simultaneous with his overlord Vikram膩ditya VI whose accession took place in A.D. 1076.
