: Shodhganga: The significance of the m奴la-beras (艣ilpa)Ammaiyappa is the name of a deity depicted at the Nellaiappar Temple at Tirunelveli, representing a sacred place for the worship of 艢iva.鈥擳o the left of the devotee as he/she enters Amp膩l鈥檚 sannidhi is the sannidhi for Ammaiyappa (Vin膩yaka with his father and mother) Vin膩yaka. One finds Ga峁嘺pati in standing posture in his usual form.
