(-nam) 1) Speaking, saying, declaring (with the implied sense of deliberateness); e. g. ṛṣԲٲ. on the Dāyabh.: śāstrīyadānapadasya svatvābhisaṃnapūrvakatyāge lakṣaṇ�; comp. also the inst. s. v. abhisandhi.

2) Promise, agreement; e. g. Rāmāy.: sā hi satyābhisaṃnā tathānanyā ca bhartari.

3) Aim, intention, purpose, interest in an object; e. g.
