SOME REPRESENTATIVE INSTANCES OF THE
INCORPORATION OF EXPLANATORY MARGINAL NOTES OF
THE P MS. IN THE BODY OF THE TEXT
OF THE TM(N).
The instances in which the marginal notes in the
P Ms. of the TM have been wrongly incorporated as a part of
the text proper in the TM (N) would, if counted, run into
thousands, making it almost impossible to list them exhau-
stively in an appendix like this. It is, therefore, here
proposed to just give a few remarkable specimens to draw
the attention of the scholars to this strange process
responsible for the corruption of the texual readings of
the TM.
