8. Description of Youthful relationship
When favourably disposed, the maidens expressed a their favour by offering 'Tambula' with their own hands, as a mark of etiquette and response. Deliberate physical touch of a limb by a youthful unmarried maiden was 202 203. also interpreted as an expression of love. But th catching hold, by a young man, of the right hand of an unmarried youthful girl, even accidently, was interpreted by her as tantamount to marriage, especially when she was well-disposed to him.
