Verse 9.15 - The afflictions caused by the conduct-deluding karmas

चारित्रमोह� नाग्न्यारतिस्त्रीनिषद्याक्रोशयाचन� सत्कारपुरस्काराः � �.१५ �
cāritramohe nāgnyāratiٰīԾṣakrośa峦 satkārapuraskārā� || 9.15 ||
Afflictions of nakedness�岵Բⲹ, absence of pleasures�arati, woman�ٰī, posture�Ծṣa, reproach�ś, solicitation�峦, and reverence and honour�ٰܰ, are caused by the conduct-deluding (ٰdz) karmas. (15)
Hindi Anvayarth:
अन्वयार्�: [चारित्रमोहे] चारित्रमोहनी� के उद� से [नाग्न्यारतिस्त्रीनिषद्याक्रोशयाचनासत्कारपुरस्काराः] नग्नता, अरति, स्त्री, निषद्य�, आक्रोश, याचन� और सत्कारपुरस्कार-ये सा� परीषह होती हैं।
Anvayartha: [caritramohe] caritramohaniya ke udaya se [nagnyaratistrinishadyakroshayacanasatkarapuraskarah] nagnata, arati, stri, nishadya, akrosha, yacana aura satkarapuraskara-ye sata parishaha hoti haim |
Explanation in English from Ācārya Pūjyapāda’s Sarvārthasiddhi:
If the first kind of deluding (dzīⲹ) karmas cause one affliction, how many afflictions are caused by the second type?
Delusion (moha) has been said to cause afflictions like nakedness�岵Բⲹ, mentioned above. But how can the affliction of posture�Ծṣa, be caused by the rise of delusion (moha)? On the rise of delusion (moha), thoughts of violence arise. And avoidance of injury is the object of the posture�Ծṣa. That is why the affliction of the posture�Ծṣa–has been said to fall under the conduct-deluding (ٰdz) karmas and not under the feeling (岹īⲹ) karmas.
