A lonesome dove sits on a tree
Beside the growling pump of a swimming pool:
She coos among the buzzing gadgets
That seem to condition nature’s air,
A coo which digs into my sensations
And delves into my subconscious;
It never fails to wake my faded memories
Nor my buried longing for a distant land
Landing here through space and time
This lonesome dove coos gently
To transpose my nostalgic thoughts
And evoke my subtle sense
Of forfeited security and love
