And so, the machine would not stand,
As the eyes would prickle and burn, and
Bristle with a particle of sand.
For, so I’d stood against its way,
Obstinately refusing to put up with the sway;
And so, I was mercilessly thrown up and thrown away!
Yet, so there had to be a convulsion,
But for it, there wouldn’t be my repulsion;
This was ever the ordinary result of going beyond the convention!
But the thing thrown up,
Is’nt the thing, forever thrown up
Nor for once the game was up.
It comes down!
With a terrific sound!
On the self-same ground!
It’s lined and cracked in frame,
And yet, the soul’s the same.
Ready to play over again the same game.
And so, Convulsion follows Convulsion.....
Until the Giant-machine is weakened by this repetition
And so, finally, is fit for a new formation!
