[This confession of the nature of her love is made by a mistress to her maid.]
Wider than the earth,
Higher than the heavens,
And deeper far than the unplumbed sea
Is my love for him,
On whose hill-slopes
Bees make rich honey
From the flowers of the dark-stemmed henna.
