This page relates 鈥楰nowledge of Kamashastra (Sex and Erotics) in the Shishupalavadha鈥� of the study on the Shishupala-vadha (in English) in the light of Manusamhita (law and religious duties) and Arthashastra (science of politics and warfare). The Shishupalavadha is an epic poem (Mahakavya) written by Magha in the 7th century AD. It consists of 1800 Sanskrit verses spread over twenty chapters and narrates the details of the king of the Chedis.

Poet 惭腻驳丑补 was aware of sexology. He discussed about heroine and their different sexual stages. In the whole tenth canto different beheaviours of lascivious ladies have been sketched.
The poet called the god Madana as 鈥�惭墨苍补办别迟补苍补鈥� in the thirty eighth verse of the thieteenth canto. (13/38)
鈥�Manasisaya鈥� in the second verse of the seventh canto (7/2).
础苍补峁単补 in the thirty fourth verse of the tenth canto (10/24), and 碍耻蝉耻尘腻测耻诲丑补 in the sixty seventh verse of the tenth canto.
