As if to substantiate his contention, the
author gives here a list of twenty five illustrious kings
of yore, who are supposed to be belonging to the ideal
plane. They are Manu, Mandhata, Nahuṣa, Sibi, Yayati,
Dhundhumara Kārtavirya, Pururavas, Raghu, Dilipa, Prthu,
Nabhaga, Ambarisa, Gaya, Rukmangada, Saryati, Bharata,
Marutta, Iksvaku, Santanu, Gadhi, Rama, Nimi, Janaka and
Yudhisthira,. These kings are stated to be fully qualified
to occupy the throne and as such are shown to be able to
rule the earth quite playfully (44-48).

Citing the examples of these successful kings,
the author further argues that it is imperative on the
part of an ideal king to possess a grand throne with all
its auspicious marks and a golden foot-pedestal to ensure
stability of goddess SL, prosperity of his kingdom, to
achieve lasting name and fame and to be endowed with
eight forms of divine power like anima etc. (astaisvarvas)
