three worlds there is nothing equal to this yantra. Therefore,
the ambitious king should worship this yantra and engage
himself in the japa (meditative repetition) of the mantra
of SL. (17)
3) Procedure for meditative repetition (Japa) of SL
mantra
Worship:
At the out-set, the yantra (mystic diagram) is purified
by sprinkling it with Pañcagavya (five sacred products of
cow, viz. milk, curd, clarified butter, urine and cow-dung)
which is followed by dipping it in sacred waters, collected
from sacred rivers. During this abhiseka (lit. sprinkling
of water) śrisūkta (Rykh. 2.6) is meant to be recited.
The sacred bath-ritual over, its blia (seed-syllable)
and other arnas (syllabic representations) are written and
when it is ready, it should be kept in a temple, wrapped in
a silk-cloth. Now, the worshipper arranges various implements
of Puia like gandha (perfume), aksata (unbroken rice),
flowers, arghya water, dhupa (incense), dipa (lamp) and fruits,
etc. on the foreground before which he occupies his seat
