This page relates 鈥楻udra as Bhava鈥� of the study on the Rudra-Shiva concept in the Vedic and Puranic literature, starting with the concept of God as contemplated by the Rishis (Vedic sages). 2.2. Rudra as Bhava
A single hymn has been found in the Atharvaveda which depicts Rudra in the form of Bhava and 艢补谤惫补.[1] In this hymn of the Atharvaveda, S膩ya峁嚹乧膩rya derives the word bhava as one who generates the entire world at the very beginning.[2] Bhava is referred to as king.[3]
S膩ya峁嚹乧膩rya construes the term 谤腻箩补苍 补蝉鈥�
谤腻箩补苍 sarvasy膩dhipate
鈥淥ne who is the lord of all.鈥�[4]
In his another commentary of the Atharvaveda, S膩ya峁嚹乧膩rya states that Bhava鈥檚 skin colour is 苍墨濒补辫墨迟腻诲颈惫补谤峁嚹乱补 or bluish and yellowish.[5]
