4. Rudra as dz� and ʰپ� priest
A reference has been found where Rudra is identified with dz� priest.[1] Sāyaṇācārya interprets the passage as—�tām� gā� prajāpatirhotṛbhūtāya ‘rudrāya� ‘adadāt� tasmād hotre gā� dadādityartha�.[2] The Gopatha ṇa describes in the context of sacrificial gift that Rudra is ʰپ�.[3]
