This page relates 鈥楰avyalamkarasarasamgraha of Udbhata鈥� of the English study on the Kavyamimamsa of Rajasekhara: a poetical encyclopedia from the 9th century dealing with the ancient Indian science of poetics and rhetoric (also know as alankara-shastra). The Kavya-mimamsa is written in eighteen chapters representing an educational framework for the poet (kavi) and instructs him in the science of applied poetics for the sake of making literature and poetry (kavya).

[Full title: Pre-dhvani theory of Sanskrit poetics (3): The K膩vy膩la峁僰膩ras膩rasa峁僩raha of 鲍诲产丑补峁璦 (8th century A.D.)]
The 碍腻惫测补濒补峁僰腻谤补蝉腻谤补蝉补峁僩谤补丑补 was written by 鲍诲产丑补峁璦, is capable to being regarding as the link between the old and the new concepts of 础濒补峁僰腻谤补蝉 or poetic figure. This work comprised on six vargas (chapters) and seventy-nine 办腻谤颈办腻蝉. In this work 鲍诲产丑补峁璦 exercised a profound influence in the Sanskrit Poetics by the defining forty-one 础濒补峁僰腻谤补蝉, which are almost enumerated same order to the 叠丑腻尘补丑补. In this work he is not discussers the general theory of poetry.
惭补丑腻尘辞尘补辫腻诲丑腻测补 P. V. Kane realizes that,
鈥榟e is the foremost representative of the 础濒补峁僰腻谤补 School and his name is associated with several doctrines in the 础濒补峁僰腻谤补蝉astra鈥�.[1]
鈥業n this treatment, 鲍诲产丑补峁璦 shows an advance on his predecessor and indulges in minute classification of poetic figure like 础迟颈艣补测辞办迟颈, Anupr膩艣a, 鲍辫补尘腻 and 艢lesa etc鈥�[2].
