Chapter 3. Minor goddesses by Prajapati. As a result the others complained to their father Prajapati, who ordered Soma to treat them all equally. But Soma disregarded it and again associated with Rohini alone and as a result illness seized him. In the brāhmāṇas she is associated with speech 87, with the meter Gayatri and with the waters and her stars are called as the 'mothers'. 89 According to popular belief, the sight of the moon in the

goddess is highly beneficial.

The word Revatī appears connected both in the RV and
in the AV either as an adjective or as an epithet of Pathya or
the path and means 'the rich one '90. In the AV she is said to be
the neck of the cosmic bull and cow. In the later vedic
samhitā, Revati is identified with speech," with the metre
Gayatri and with the waters 94. She is invoked together with
Subhadrā, Pathyā, Sinivālī and Rākā. She and her star-
group are reverentially called as mothers. She is associated
